
APPLE POTPIE w/ VANILLA ICE CREAM
Ingredients:
Crust:
1 box of Yellow cake mix (15.25 oz)
1 egg
8 tablespoons of melted butter
Filling and Toppings:
1 box of yellow cake mix (15.25 oz)
1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
2 cans of apple pie filling (20oz)
2 2oz bags of chopped pecans
1 1/2 stick of melted butter
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Butter or grease a 9x13 inch pan
In a bowl mix crust ingredients and knead until worked through
Add dough to pan and use hands to spread for the crust
In a separate bowl, add both apple pie cans and ground cinnamon and mix well
Pour apple mix in pan onto crust
Sprinkle second cake mix evenly on top of apple filling
Take a spoon and evenly cover cake mix with melted butter. Try to cover all the mix if you can.
Top with pecans
Place in oven for 45-60 min. Make sure it’s cooked and slightly brown on top.
Let cool for 30-45 min

VANILLA ICE CREAM
Ingredients:
1 c. half-and-half
2 tbsp. granulated sugar
1/2 tsp. pure vanilla extract
3 c. ice
1/3 c. kosher salt
Directions:
In a small ziplock bag, combine half-and-half, sugar, and vanilla. Take out as much excess air as possible.
In a large ziplock bag, combine ice and salt. Place smaller ziplock bag inside the bigger ziplock bag and shake for 10 minutes or until the ice cream has hardened.
Remove small bag from larger bag.
Top your Apple PotPie with the vanilla ice cream and enjoy!
